I've been a member of a website called Influenster for a couple months now, and I'm really enjoying it. Basically, you use your social media influence, writing reviews, asking questions, etc., in order to be qualified for VoxBoxes which are boxes of complementary products from different brands. All of the products I received were given to me by Influenster to review.
This box was provided by L'Oréal and their new Extraordinary Clay hair care line. I received three products, a hair mask, shampoo, and conditioner. I have already used all three and let me say, I'm very impressed.
I started by testing out the clay mask, it looked exactly like a clay face mask but felt a little slimy.
You put the clay mask on your roots for about 5 minutes and then rinse it off in the shower. I liked the mask but it felt a little weird to put on my roots and even weirder to leave on. I enjoyed it but I'm not really sure how much of a difference it made.
Next, I used the shampoo and conditioner and they were both pretty good. I have very long hair and sometimes I'm stuck using too much product to get hair that's even remotely soft, so I appreciated how a little product went a pretty long way.
Overall, these products did what was promised, reduced oil at the roots and moisturized the ends. Don't get me wrong, these products aren't working miracles that make the oil in your roots disappear forever, but I am purchasing a lot less dry shampoo now.
